About People First Wisconsin
People First Wisconsin (PFW) is a statewide self-advocacy organization for people with disabilities. By joining together in groups, individuals with disabilities learn to speak up for themselves and share ideas and information and build friendships. PFW has chapters throughout Wisconsin that advocate on issues impacting people with disabilities at the local, state, and federal levels. PFW also has a virtual chapter that all are welcome to join. It was started because many PFW members live in rural areas where there were no local chapters and/or limited transportation. The virtual chapter's efforts are focused on issues impacting people with disabilities at the state and federal level.

"Our mission is to provide opportunities for people with disabilities in Wisconsin to speak up and be heard about healthcare, voting, employment, housing and transportation issues."
